Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans — Rooms Available

Friday, September 28th, 2012

Whether you plan to actually go to the game, or just go down to New Orleans for a great time, Super Bowl XLVII weekend (January 31 – February 4, 2013) promises to be an overall incredible experience. With the explosion of the secondary ticket market, you can make your way into the stadium for the right price; the really difficult aspect of the weekend to lock down is quality hotel rooms in a convenient downtown location.

Luckily for you, Sports Power Weekends has that aspect of the planning covered!

Below are several options for lodging in New Orleans, with a varying number of rooms available and nights required. Rooms are listed in prices low to high (see map of hotel rooms here):

Two rooms are available at this property and require a two-night reservation (Sunday night and Monday night). The Audobon Room (king bed with twin size fold out) and Orleans Street (queen bed with day bed) are available, and can be reserved at $400/night.

A one-bedroom second floor apartment with a queen bed, small bathroom,  kitchen, and a living room with two single beds is available for $400/night (four night minimum).

All three rooms at this property are available and require a four-night minimum. The Grand Suite consists of a queen bed, sitting area with couches and chairs, and a large bathroom. The Loft Suite is an upstairs space that both a queen and twin bed, a bathroom, and access directly to the deck. The final room consists of a queen bed and bathroom. The property includes a garden area and a pool, as well as a kitchen area and dining room in a shared space.

The three rooms are $400/night each, and must be rented out together.

This room (the Esplanade room) is great for a couple, and consists of a queen-sized bed with matching daybed on the second floor of the property. There is a small dressing area just off of the bathroom. The property is located in the Garden District, on a tree-lined street in a peaceful neighborhood about three miles from the French Quarter. The room is $450/night, and requires a three-night stay (Friday-Monday).

The property is located on Royal Street just east of the French Quarter in the Marigny district. The second floor suite has a full bed and a separate living room with a full-size pull-out futon and bathroom. This would be a good room for a couple, and requires a four-night stay at $500/night.

We have 10 total rooms at this property (two 2-bedroom suites; eight 1-bedroom suites) — which is a few blocks east of Jackson Square — that all require a three-night stay. The 2-bedroom suites consist of one bathroom, a separate kitchen, and a living room with a full size fold out for $600/night, whereas the 1-bedroom suites are $500/night.

This European style B&B is about 15 minutes from the airport and 10 minutes from the French Quarter. Of the nine total rooms, four have one bed plus a sleeper couch and the remaining five have one bed only. The property has a lakefront location, and requires a three-night stay at $450/night.

Eleven rooms of this property are available and consist of one bed. The front patio is a great area for gathering as a group. The property is three blocks from Pat O’s and the famous Cat’s Meow, right in the heart of the French Quarter. It is a two-night rental (Saturday and Sunday nights) at the cost of $1,000/night.
